Privacy and cookies policy
Last updated 8 November 2026. This policy explains what personal data migrant.co.uk collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
This website is operated by Centraserve Ltd, a company registered in England ("we", "us"), the data controller for personal data collected through it. You can contact us about privacy using our contact form.
What we collect
- Contact form messages. If you contact us we collect the name, email address and message you provide so we can reply. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering your enquiry). We keep messages for up to 24 months, then delete them. Please do not send us details of your immigration history; we do not need them and will delete them.
- Server logs. Our web server records technical information about each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working, under legitimate interests, and keep them for up to 90 days.
- The practice test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and score are not sent to us or stored anywhere.
We do not sell personal data, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run advertising or analytics scripts.
Cookies
We set no cookies for ordinary browsing. If the contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, Google may set cookies when you use that page, subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms. Our website traffic passes through Cloudflare's network for security and performance; Cloudflare may set a cookie used only to distinguish people from automated traffic.
Third-party websites
Some guides link to books on Amazon.co.uk. If you follow one of those links Amazon may set cookies to record that you came from this site, so that we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases; that is covered by Amazon's Privacy Notice. Links to gov.uk and other sites take you to sites with their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
Where data is stored
Our website is hosted on servers in the United Kingdom. Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK under safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
