What is and is not included
- Included: the Home Office application fee for each person, the Immigration Health Surcharge for each person for the full visa length (students, Youth Mobility applicants and under-18s pay the lower rate; Health and Care Worker applicants and their dependants are exempt), and the priority service if you tick it.
- Not included: English tests (about £150 to £200), tuberculosis tests, document translations, Ecctis statements, the Life in the UK test (£50) at settlement, employer-side charges (the sponsor licence, Certificate of Sponsorship and Immigration Skills Charge, which the employer must pay), endorsement fees for Global Talent and Innovator Founder beyond the Home Office element, and any adviser's fees.
- Partner route length is fixed at 33 months from abroad and 30 months in the UK; the surcharge is charged for that period. The calculator uses 2.75 years.
Fees change every April and sometimes mid-year. The live figures are on the fees page and on gov.uk; the application form charges whatever is current on the day you pay.
